 Biography

Brody was born in San Diego, California as the oldest son to Jewish American parents Mark Brody and Valerie Siefman. He has younger twin brothers, Sean and Matt. Adam Jared Brody is best known for starring in the TV series, The O.C.
Growing up  on the Pacific Coast he spent a lot of time through his teen years hanging out with friends, having fun, surfing, skateboarding and attending Scripps Ranch High School. When he moved to L.A to attend college, he developed an interest in acting and abandoned his academic lessons. Soon he hired an acting coach, signed with a personal manager and landed the lead in the NBC movie-of-the-week, "Growing Up Brady" (2000), playing Barry Williams (Greg Brady).

Soon after, Brody was cast as the lead in the MTV cult series Now What? His television credits also include a recurring role as Coop in ABC's "Once and Again" (1999); a recurring role as Dave in the WB's Emmy-nominated "Gilmore Girls" (2000); and compelling guest starring roles in "Judging Amy" (1999), "Family Law" (1999) and "Smallville" (2001). Two movie roles in "Roadside Assistance" and "American Pie 2" brought little acclaim.

He then tried to broaden his skills by co-writing, producing and acting in "Home Security" (2003).  Still in the comedy vein, he completed "Grind" (2003), where he could also display his skate boarding ability, while also playing the lead in a heart touching drama about war, "Missing Brendan" (2003).

He appeared opposite the super duo Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in the action and romance packed "Mr and Mrs Smith" (2005). Striving higher, he joined the acclaimed comedy "Thank You for Smoking" (2005), which is an interesting film about a man supporting smoking culture while becoming the role model for his son at the same time. Adam is the cntre of the story of "In the Land of Women" (2006) where he plays a young TV writer left devastated after breaking up with his TV actress girlfriend.
