Jason decided he wanted be an actor when he he was just a child. He acted in his first play when he was 5 years old then spent his teen years doing a lot of regional theater and commercials while attending high school. When Jason turned 19, he decided to leave his mother and 3 siblings to follow his long-standing dream of becoming an actor. With only 200 dollars in his pocket, but with his good looks and brooding punk appeal, he moved to L.A. to seek his fame.

Behr first appeared on the TV screen in a guest roer in 1994 episodes of "Step By Step" on ABC. The following year he made an impression as Tyler on Showtime's "Sherman Oaks", a series parodying the workings of the American family. In 1996 he had a supporting role in Fox's telefilm "Alien Nation: Millennium", playing a sinister human teen who pretends to have strange interests in order to seduce a young alien woman. He continued to appear in guest roles, featured on series including CBS' Navy legal drama "JAG" and ABC's short-lived detective remake "Cracker". In 1998 he took on his own short-lived series, starring as Dempsey Easton, a very competitive middle distance university runner in "Push", again on ABC. However, the series wasn't around long enough to fulfill the young performer's promise.

Behr made his film debut with a small role in "Pleasantville" (1998) before taking on a challenging starring part as a young gay man unexpectedly reunited with his estranged brothers and father under tense circumstances in Victor Salva's small-scale independent "Rites of Passage" (1999). Behr returned to the big screen in 2001 playing the supporting role of an aspiring fisherman in the screen adaptation of "The Shipping News".

His theater experience includes Our Town, Christmas Carol, and The Glass Menagerie. Along with these great accomplishments, he's also done over 75 commercials. One such commercial was a gum commercial entitled Body Search that aired all over Europe.

Jason enjoys the sports of basketball and golf but admits his biggest weakness is sweets and candy. He does however think that it's very important to stay in shape and eat healthy! So he need to forget the Krispy Kreme donuts that he loves so much. Jason is also a certified ski instructor and an aspiring young artist. He enjoys attending concerts and sports events such as golf, basketball and tennis.
