Prince William Arthur Philip Louis was born June 21, 1982 at St. Mary's Hospital in London, and christened by the Archbishop of Canterbury at
Buckingham Palace. He made his first public appearance at the age of 8, on a visit to Wales. William's attachment to his mother was clear from the moment he was born and throughout the difficult
marriage of Diana and Charles, young William was often by her side, even as a boy. Her death was a major blow and even the public can discern the effort he has made to preserve her legacy.
He
looks uncannily like his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. With his hazel eyes and sandy blond hair he stood 6'2" and weighed 130 pounds at age 15. He attends Eton College and studies French,
History, Chemistry, Biology, Art, Latin, Greek, Math, Physics, English. At school he has a close-knitted group of friends and appears to be remarkably well adjusted. His friends at Eton, the exclusive
English boarding school, say he's "really cool."
He loves the traditional side of aristocratic British life, hunting, shooting and other country pursuits, but he also supports an
unfashionable soccer team, Aston Villa in Birmingham, is a bit of a party animal and recently impressed the locals at a pub where he joined in karaoke night.
After Prince Charles, he is second in
line for the crown. He enjoys sports and William is one of the top 100 swimmers in England. Currently he has decided to put all other sports aside and concentrate on swimming. He was naemd one of
People's Most Beautiful People of 1998 and was named one of Teen People's 21 Hottest Stars under 21. He was Barbara Walters' Most Interesting Person of 1997.
He looks uncannily like
his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales. And he seems like a pretty exceptional teenager. Considering what the future king has been through, Prince William appears to be remarkably well adjusted. His
friends at Eton, the exclusive English boarding school, say he's "really cool." He loves the traditional side of aristocratic British life, hunting, shooting and other country pursuits, but
he also supports an unfashionable soccer team, Aston Villa in Birmingham, is a bit of a party animal and recently impressed the locals at a pub where he joined in karaoke night.
