High School Musical 2006, 97 min

Gabriella Montez (Vanessa Anne Hudgens) is a shy, studious new student at East High School; but that all changes when she is forced to sing at a karaoke contest with Troy Bolton (Zac Efron), the captain of the school's basketball team.
When they win a callback for the school musical, teen drama queen Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) is furious. She and her brother Ryan have always been the leads in school plays and they don't want Troy and Gabriella taking over; so they try to break them up. This turns them and the school upside down. But Gabriella and Troy realize they share a pssionate love for music and singing and for each other.
